QUESTIONS REGARDING SURRENDERING HORSES

 

 

I would love to take every horse that is surrendered or sold at auctions, but unfortunately, I cant.  Most times I am very full up with horses or even over my capacity! 

I have compiled a list of other rescue places that you can call or email and see if they can take your horse(s).

PLEASE, PLEASE THINK BEFORE TAKING YOUR HORSES TO AN AUCTION.  YOU JUST NEVER KNOW WHEN THERE ARE SLAUGHTER PEOPLE THERE AND THE HORSE THAT HAS GIVEN YOU PLEASURE FOR YEARS WILL GO THROUGH A TERRIBLE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS OF HIS/HER LIFE!  ASK IN SOME OF THESE FORUMS IF SOMEONE HAS CHEAPER HAY OR IF THEY CAN HELP YOU!  REALLY!  SPRING IS NOT ALL THAT FAR OFF!

I would rather give away a horse then sell it at auction.  You can always ask that the slaughter buyers not buy your horse also.

But you can always contact me and my rescue to see if I have openings or if I have any foster people that can take a horse or two.
