Ireland

Adopted August 2007

Ireland is a 2 year old QH (sorrel) filly.  She should get to at least 15 hands.  I got her on May 25, 2007 from the Richland Center Equity sale.  She was the absolute last horse up on the block.  I noticed a slaughter buyer bidding on her.  I had not looked too closely at the horses that night since I thought I wouldnt get one.  But she looked like a sweet little filly.  And indeed she is!  She had longer front hooves and actually did very well with the farrier the first time she did that!  I think someone must have worked with her and she lead well and loaded right on the trailer with no problems.  She is a very docile girl with people.  She tried to challenge a couple of my mares including my alpha mare and she got put into place very quickly.  Getting along with the horses very, very well.  She is just one of the sweetest mares I have ever come across.  She doesnt spook and we have a saddle pad on her and she didnt care about it at all.  Loves to be groomed and loved.  She should be able to be broke next year as she is taller and slender.  But we are working on her ground manners and she is a very smart girl.  She had a white patch on her left neck which might be why they named her Ireland-  I guess you could say it looks like the country, but not sure about that!  Anyhow, she knows her name and it suits her.  She is up to date with her shots (with boosters), worming and farrier and a recent coggins.  She is good with all.

Adoption fee is $450.00

Sweetheart- 20 year old Tennesse Walker/Saddlebred mare

Sweetheart is a beautiful girl.  She is crippled in her front legs so she cannot be ridden by adults.  She has been riden bareback and with a saddle with little kids.  she is very sweet and gentle.  She is a wonderful horse and lives up to her name.  Loves other horses and people.  Loves to be close.  She would make a wonderful pasture or companion horse.  She is up to date on her vacines, farrier and worming.  I would like a place that is pretty flat and that she has access to a nice shelter or stall.  She gets around pretty well!

MRS. LILY PAD/ Adopted on October 12, 2005

15 YEAR OLD BLOOD BAY MORGAN MARE.

Lily is a wonderful girl who was taken very good care of.  Does not look her age!!  Her owner got sick and has to give up her horses.  She is up to date with her worming, shots and farrier work.  She loves other horses and will either be an alpha or a horse who is down the totem pole!  She has no problems being either!!  She is a great girl!  We found out that she is broke to ride.  She just needs a refresher course.  So she is in training right now.  Is a spirited girl, so will need at least alittle more than the beginner rider.  But she is also very gentle.

WELCOME!!!

Little Baby Daisy Belle

Adopted 08/21/05

Little Baby Daisy Belle came into this world on April 26, 2005.  It was cold, wet and rainy!  I kidded her mom Annabelle, that morning, not to give birth today, cuz I needed to get new bedding in her stall!  And we were still thinking a month away for delivery!  But no, Annabelle had to defy me!  The filly was tiny for a belgian baby.  We think its because Annabelle didnt have the proper nutrition while being pregnant.  But she is 2 weeks old now and is getting bigger and more confident.  She loves to pick on everyone, including me and her mom!  She is so beautiful.  And she looks to be purebred Belgian to me!

ANNABELLE/ Adopted 08/21/05

8 YEAR OLD BELGIAN MARE

CONTEST IS OFF---  ANNABELLE GAVE BIRTH TOO EARLY!

Annabelle gave birth to a little filly on April 26, 2005. She was quite small but healthy and spunky!  We named her Little Baby Daisy Belle!  She is beautiful and by the looks of her she is very much full Belgian!  She is 2 weeks old now and she is doing great!  Her mom loves her alot and is giving her the care she needs.  She also loves to play with people!  She has found her legs! And she is all over the place.  Loves to run!  She is so beautiful!

Pictures coming soon!

SHE IS PREGNANT!

Annabelle was obtained at the auction and I was bidding against the slaughter buyers.  She was very scared and wasnt very friendly.  We are not sure if she is broke to drive or ride yet. I couldnt chance her going to slaughter especially if she was pregnant!

We would like to have a contest to help with the rescue!  Guess the date and gender of her foal!!  A little hint!  She has about 2 months to go on the approximate!  We felt a big head and the baby wasnt in the birth canal yet (that happens within the last month).

So $5.00 buys you a guess and the winner who comes closes without going past her the birth will win a great prize!! (Gift certificate to choice of mall, Horse store or resturant!)  Any money that is over that will go back into the horse rescue!

Choice of dates will be May 15- June 30, 2005....

DIAMOND

Diamond is a 9 year old quarter horse mare.

Diamond is a sweet girl.  Although she cannot be ridden, she is a great pasture mate.

She suffered an injury to her left back leg when she was 4 years old.  She can keep up with the other horses.  We need a home that will let her live out her life.  She is up to date with her shots, (including West Nile) worming and farrier.  The only reason her owner wants to surrender her is because she has lot of hills and it is hard on Diamond.  So we need a place that has flat pastures, and a lean to or a bigger open shelterstall as she needs alittle extra ror her to get up when laying down.  Can someone please help Diamond out?

She is my first foster horse. She has all of her shots, wormed and teeth floated. She is broke. She put in her time for work and needs a loving home to go to and live out the rest of her days. Would be a great companion horse.  I have had her since Christmas of 2003.

Dolly AKA /Cheyenne

dolly2.jpg

Dolly- Dolly is a 2 year old quarter horse/paint mare with blue eyes.

Adopted February 1, 2005!

She is an absolute gem!  I call her my baby-doll!  She is docile and loves to be around people and other horses.  She likes to make a mess of her hay to get to the little flakes first!  She really is white under all of that dirt!  But you know the winter!  No health problems at all.  I am not a big fan of blue eyes, but on Dolly it works!  She is about 14.2 hands right now.  Should get a tad bit bigger.  She will be a great first horse for a family. She has had kids on her riding with a saddle and bareback and hasnt had any problems or concerns.  Just went with the flow.  She will be in training as soon as my trainer has the room at her stables!

She is mostly white with a few black and brown spots.  She has blue eyes.  Her left eye looks like she put eye liner on!  She is a really pretty girl.  Good size.  She loves other horses and gets along with them very well.  Not an alpha at all.  She is ready to start training to be broke!

Titan

Titan-  AQHA yearling black.  Born 03/20/03

Adopted on March 5, 2005!!

Update 012605-  Titan!  He is such a goofy boy!  Loves to play, play, and more play!  He loves to play with all the horses but the only who likes to play back is my 13 year old appendix-quarter gelding.  And i didnt know he played!  He is very happy all of the time and has no mean bone in his body.  Is always aware of people around him.  He is very gentle with kids and people.  LOVES to be groomed.  He can't get enough!  He makes me laugh all of the time!  He truly would be a great first horse for someone or a family.  He loves to be in the limelight!  Gets along with other horses and is very upset when my alpha mare tries to run him off!  He wants to be with everyone!  He was pretty good with the farrier.  This was only his 2nd time for his hooves.  He is in excellent shape.  He is about 14.2 right now and not quite 2!  He will be in training soon.

He is a very affectionate boy.  I fell in love with him when I was petting him through his stall at the auction.  He kept putting his head through the spaces to get me to pet him some more!  He is settling nicely at my home.  He has had a saddle on him already and didnt mind one bit!  Seems not much bothers him!  He will be a great horse!  Nice size.  He was gelded on October 14, 2004 and is doing nicely.  This horse is so affectionate that when you pet him he will rest his head on your shoulder and start to fall asleep!!

UPDATE:  November 17, 2004.  Titan-  What  can I say about him?  He is an absolute wonderful horse.  We also had a saddle and rider (kid) on him and he did so well!  I really believe he will be a great 1st horse for someone and especially for kids that are also beginning with horses.  Very docile.  Loves to be petted and groomed.  He will also be going into training early next year.  We would like to wait to adopt him out until after his training but will consider letting him go before to the right family who can train him.

Annie- AQHA 2 year old registered dark bay mare.

Adopted March 1, 2005!

Update 012605-  Annie has been getting in some good training!  She is so smart, so we think she could be great for Hunt/Jump.  She is fast also.  We would need someone who isnt new to horses  to adopt her just because we want her to be challenged.  Her trainer is very pleased with her progress.  She is no longer frightened and wants to be the center of attention.

She has been alittle frightened since coming here, but she is really a sweet girl!  Loves to be petted now!!  She is almost ready to train to ride.  She is an absolute beautiful girl!  She has been here since Sept 25, 2004.

UPDATE:  November 17, 2004 She is complete wonderful girl.  She is developing into quite a nice horse.  She absolutely LOVES attention.  We put a saddle and rider on her last Saturday and she did simply wonderful!  She will be going into formal training in a couple of week.
UPDATE:  November 28, 2004-  Annie went to my trainer today.  She will get at least 30 training on her.  She is settling in nicely with the new horses.  She will do very well.

Update- 012605-  Jewels is a wonderful girl.  Loves attention.  Will hang out with me in the barns while I am cleaning the stalls.  She wont leave me alone!  She wants to try to groom you when you pet her.  And she could stand there all day while you pet her!  Even give up food for pettings!  She will be of good size.  Maybe up to 15 hands.   Was pretty fair for the farrier, but this was her first time!  She will get better and better.  She is great at leading.  She has a beautiful dark brown dorsal stripe down her back.

She is extremely gorgeous and was used as a 4 H project all summer so she is very used to be handled.  Loves people and gets along with other horses also.
